Thanks, these are dahlias, and I love them too. Although, a gardener friend of mine doesn't think much of them---she says they sit around all summer looking like a potato plant and only bloom for a week. I disagree with her, and even if the leaves are less than magnificent, I think the flowers are worth the wait! :-D
