The winter cold has come early this year---snow on the mountain (!)---which unfortunately meant we have been left with a whole bunch of green tomatoes. Big Jim set out to make green tomato chutney, and I by chance came across this recipe earlier today. Was immediately intrigued. :-) I showed the recipe to Big Jim, and he postponed the chutney making and started grinding spices.
Other than adding a little red pepper and some shredded cabbage (because we tend to like our curries a bit more substantial than smooth), Big Jim followed the recipe spice-wise to the letter. And man, it is good!
