Blog postings to be temporarily interrupted as I care for C.K. AND make sure that the pups do not feel neglected (as they sulk when they believe the cat is getting more attention than they).
I thought C.K. might have used up that precious ninth life Tuesday afternoon, but after a visit to the village vet yesterday for an assessment I was guardedly optimistic. Juan assured me that despite her cerebrovascular issues, she is otherwise in just-short-of-miraculous condition for a cat of her age and therefore could potentially recover. And so I agreed to a noninvasive regimen to treat her cerebral circulation + lots of love and affection. Happily, I can report that she is recuperating really well. Last evening, she took her first steps, and today she can scoot all about, although she tires easily. And I still have to help her with eating, etc., all of which is taking up my free time; hence, a brief-ish hiatus from blogland and the anniversary celebration is required. Normal activity should return shortly, however, assuming her condition remains stable.
Also, my dad sent me this photo of downtown Reading (where he works) this morning:
Obviously, good thoughts need to be sent to this part of the world as well.
hasta pronto,

We have sun! Philly is finally drying out an we have one nice day before the humidity coats the city again. You have me checking Spain's ranking in the WC. Love to you all, especially CK.

I hope the sun is still shining in Philly, Mia. I am going to post some pics of CK later...she is doing fabulously well. :-) Been meaning to e-mail, ever since you posted the pic of Tracy in the pool---your wife is the cutest pregnant woman EVER!
