Big Jim arrives tonight for the long May Day weekend, and it looks like the weather may actually cooperate. :-)

Also, here is an interesting article from the BBC that speaks to what I wrote a month ago about the housing/construction situation in Spain. It is not good news, but yet another billboard has been erected at the top of our street, advertising 70 (!) new 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom units---while half the houses on c/ Salares sit vacant. :-(

But did I mention Big Jim is coming this weekend? ;-)

Thanks v. much for the link. Interesting article indeed. Apparently, it is a popular topic of late b/c my neighbor told me of another article on the same subject in "The Economist." Will write more soon about this, particularly in regard to the upcoming local elections, which prove to be most interesting in the village---and all over Spain.
